Bartłomiej Bednarowicz is a PhD Researcher at the Government and Law Research Group. His field of research at the University of Antwerp focuses on the non-standard forms of work and digitalisation of labour in the so-called gig economy within the legal framework of European Union employment and internal market law. Bartłomiej also serves as a teaching assistant for a class on Legal Issues of International Employment.

Zef Even is a Professor of International and European Labour Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He also is a partner at SteensmaEven law firm. Zef is also the general editor for the European Employment Law Cases journal and is the co-author of various leading textbooks, such as ‘Arbeidsrechtelijke themata’ and ‘Commentaar Arbeidsrecht (Employment Law commented’)’. Zef earned his PhD on transnational collective labour agreements.

Ruben Houweling is a Professor of Labour Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In addition to his work as a professor, Ruben is a Legal Counsel at DingemansVanderKind law firm and a deputy judge at the Court of Appeal in The Hague. Ruben is the general editor of the Academic Board for the European Employment Law Cases journal and is also the co-author of several leading Dutch textbooks, such as ‘Arbeidsrechtelijke themata’ and ‘Bijzondere arbeidsverhouding’. In 2009, Ruben earned a PhD on the subject of ‘Op borgsom vrij’.

Mijke Houwerzijl is a Professor of Labour Law at Tilburg University. She holds a chair in Comparative and European Labour Law at the University of Groningen. Mijke is also a member of the editorial board of two Dutch academic journals in labour law (TRA and online journal ARBAC) and chairs the Dutch department of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL). In 2005, Mijke received a PhD on the background, context and implementation of the Posting of Workers Directive.

He is currently Principal Investigator in research projects funded by the Luxemburgish Fond National de la Recherche (FNR) and by the European Commission. She publishes for various law journals and is the author of the textbook ‘The employment relationship integration law’. Monika has an extensive insight on the EU free movement acquis regarding Labour Law and Social Security and in particular on its implementation in Polish Law.

Herwig Verschueren is a Professor of International and European Labour and Social Security law at the University of Antwerp, Belgium and a Visiting Professor at the University of Brussels. He is also the author and co-author of books, articles and reports on the legal position of migrant citizens. He regularly acts as a consultant for Belgian and European public authorities, including the European Commission, on legal issues related to the cross-border application of Labour and Social Security Law. In 1990, Herwig received a PhD on the subject of ‘International labour migration’.
